Good Morning!
I wanted to give you a glimpse of my end-of-the summer garden. I will have a regular post next week, and I can’t wait to share! Until next time friends, enjoy!
Summer is flying by, and I have not done a Natural Pause for some time! I love going out in the garden every morning to see what is blooming or just about ready to. Here is my Giant Hibiscus ready to pop, and I can’t wait until it does! Enjoy.
I’m currently getting some posts ready, but in the mean time, I will put up a picture because I am going too long between blog posts lately! So, on this COLD, SNOWY, and rainy morning, here’s some warm thoughts. Enjoy.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving– the weather was perfect here– good enough to take a nice walk along our new canal path and feed the ducks in the nearby park!
However, the days to follow were not so nice. I have still have not had a chance to plant anemone bulbs like I wanted, and I hoping this weekend will be the one, or they are going in containers!
I went to my parents and celebrated Thanksgiving this past Saturday, and it was cold and rainy. I was able to sneak out of the house and go take a walk in the woods. I escaped to the pines my father planted when he was a boy. Of course, I couldn’t help but take a picture. Or two. Enjoy.
One of the first things I saw growing in my back yard last weekend were these violets. I know most people consider violets a weed, but I remember as a child growing up in a valley called Bucktooth Run, there was this little violet patch in the hay field behind my house. I loved it and took claim to it. Enjoy.
On my early morning workout last weekend, I had to take a minute to take the exact shot of a quiet bench next to the Erie Canal that I have now taken every season. Enjoy.
“It’s a Truffula Seed. It’s the last one of all! You’re in charge of the last of the Truffula Seeds. And Truffula Trees are what everyone needs. Plant a new Truffula. Treat it with care. Give it clean water. And feed it fresh air. Grow a forest. Protect it from axes that hack. Then the Lorax and all of his friends may come back.” — The Once-ler, from The Lorax
In honor of Earth Day. Every day I am in awe of our amazing planet. Enjoy.
